Create a Word report with Cursor

Connect your assistant, prepare the SmartArt skill, then create the document you need.

  1. 01

    Connect Cursor

    Server URL

    https://nativediagram.com/mcp

    Name: NativeDiagram

    Add to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):

    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "nativediagram": {
          "url": "https://nativediagram.com/mcp"
        }
      }
    }

    Open Settings → MCP and click Connect next to nativediagram to sign in.

    View the request

    Confirm that NativeDiagram tools are available in this conversation. Do not create a diagram or spend credits. Report any sign-in needed.

    Run the check in Cursor. It requests no generation or credits. This website cannot check your current conversation.

  2. 02

    Add the SmartArt skill

    The skill guides layout choice and native insertion into your complete document.

    Download SmartArt skill (.zip)

    Extract the ZIP and install the native-smartart folder in ~/.cursor/skills/ or the project's .cursor/skills/. If an existing copy is in ~/.agents/skills/, update that copy rather than creating a duplicate.

    Confirm it appears in Cursor's Skills area. Local installation does not automatically update Cloud Agents; follow Cursor's official guide for cloud setup.

    Your assistant needs file downloads, document or presentation tools, Python with lxml, and rendering. Ask it to check these before generating. The complete NativeDiagram document workflow has not yet been verified in Cursor.

    Ask for the complete document

    Send the request in Cursor to prepare the whole Word report. No separate trial diagram is required. Each successful SmartArt creation uses one credit; composing the document locally uses none.

    Use the Native SmartArt skill together with your available document tools to create a two-page project startup report in Word. Include objectives, a Plan → Build → Test process as native editable SmartArt, a responsibilities table, and key risks. Use the bundled insertion script, inspect the final pages, and deliver one complete DOCX, not a separate diagram. If the required local tools are unavailable, explain that before generating.

    Continue in Cursor, then inspect the delivered file in Word or PowerPoint. Your assistant delivers the complete document; this website keeps the standalone diagrams. View saved diagrams →
