Update your SmartArt skill
Replace the existing installation, then check it in your assistant.
- 01
Replace your existing copy
Back up custom changes first, then replace the complete bundle. Keep one installed copy enabled.
Download SmartArt skill (.zip)Ask Codex to back up and replace the existing skill from the downloaded ZIP. For a manual update, replace
~/.agents/skills/native-smartart/with the extracted folder.Keep the complete folder, including references, the insertion script and release.json. Confirm Native SmartArt appears in Skills; restart Codex if needed. Keep one installed copy.
New templates are discovered from the server. Your installed skill remains a separate copy; updating the website does not replace it.

Run a free update check
Your assistant checks the installed version when accessible, the live tools, layout recommendations and one sample image. The request creates no diagram and spends no generation credits.

Use the installed Native SmartArt skill for a free connection and update check. Report its installed version from release.json if you can inspect that file; otherwise say unverified. Confirm NativeDiagram's four tools are available. Query a five-step process using these exact labels: Requirements and scope definition; Solution architecture review; Supply chain readiness review; Implementation and integration; Validation and release planning. Use a Word width of 15.2 cm and a minimum font size of 12 pt. Explain whether the recommended layout meets those estimated limits, then show one free sample preview. Keep all five labels unchanged. Do not call create_smartart, create a diagram, or spend credits. Do not change the installed skill or connection during this check; report any update or sign-in needed.
Look for version 0.4.0 or an explicit “unverified”, the four available tools, and an explanation of the estimated fit. A sample does not verify your final Office document.
